Beautiful People . Brilliant Images
A note from us, with love.

Note to self:

Be professional at all shoots, be it something you are not used to.

It may go beyond your comfort zone, but yes still do it, and do not put too much thought into it, as it shows!

What we say would be to know your limits, but also push through, to get that perfect shot.

Big Love,
The FYMP Management.

Our Top 5 List

The top 5 must haves to having a great photoshoot.

Okay, first things first…These five elements could either make or break your photos. I’m not kidding…All these experiences of going through shoot after shoot has made me pick up on these elements. Thought we would share these with my readers.

Our Top 5 :

NUMBER 5: Theme

Number 4:  Poses

NUMBER 3: Angles

NUMBER 2: Expressions

Number 1: HAVING AN EXCELLENT PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!!!!!!!

Ahh yes, we know. Most of you might be wondering why is this in the 5th spot. Well, theme is definitely a very important element in a photoshoot that has to be well-planned and carefully thought out.

But….the thing is so what if you got a good theme? When you do not have the other 4 elements? You might have the best theme, the best mua (make-up artist) and an amazing wadrobe stylist.

If you do not know your angles, the poses you want to portray in your images or exude a variety of emotions in your pictures then you’re pretty screwed. Hell, do not even get me started on the photographer. You see, you might have the best poses, themes, expressions and what not but if the photographer does not have, as what I call, “the eye”  you can officially say goodbye to the time and effort put into the shoot by you. What do i mean by “the eye” ?

Well it means that the photographer has to have what it takes to know, understand and visualize what sort of angles will look good on the model. You see, good photographers actually aid you by giving you suggestions that you may not even be aware off that can actually bring out excellent pictures of you.

Your posing is another major element that determines what kinda shoot you have. I’ll give you an example, if the theme you’re covering is one that is very serene. You will poses, such as lying on the grass smiling

Moving on to expressions. When i think about expressions the first organ that comes to mind would be the EYES. Your eyes have to be as expressive as possible. Your eyes actually bringLIFE to your pictures. I am a true believer of channeling your emotions through your eyes cuz it is one of the elements which determine the type of theme you have. You can have the best poses and kick ass angles of your face and body. BUT if your eyes are as DEAD as a goldfish…your photo is definitely a no go. So, be careful not to look “dead” 0r look like your spacing out in a photograph.

We know it might seem  a lil jumbled up but what we’re trying to say is that you can’t do one without the another. They are all interlinked. We’ll give you an example, if the theme you’re covering is one that is very serene. The theme would usually be related to nature(just an example it could be anything really) You will have poses, such as lying on the grass, Looking at the ocean etc. Then on to angles…when you lie on grass, you have to know how to position yourself where do you put your hands and where to face the camera. Expressions: A small innocent smile  and intense vulnerable eyes in combination with your theme and your pose, anyone would know what the theme is all about! The final one, PHOTOGRAPHER. He/She has to know where to position themeselves to get a good picture and he/she would have to have “The eye” to guide and aid you on where to position yourself and how to angle your face which would could make or break your shots.

So, bottomline as well is, choose the photographers you wanna work with VERY VERY WISELY!!!!!!!! Ohh and portray great expressions on your pictures too! For the photographers can only do so much as to bring the best out of you. Yes, he might know how to position you and guide you on which angle to face the camera. But he cannot help you with the expressions you make. So, be confident and make it worrrkkkk!!!

There you have it….FYMP’s top 5 must haves!
